    THE Hapag-Lloyd-CMA CGM service that links north and south Europe to the Indian Ocean and Australia, and returns via southeast Asia to Europe, is to start calling at London Gateway instead of Tilbury from January 5.

    CMA CGM-Hapag's Europe-Oceania drops Tilbury for London Gateway THE Hapag-Lloyd-CMA CGM service that links north and south Europe to the Indian Ocean and Australia, and returns via southeast Asia to Europe, is to start calling at London Gateway instead of Tilbury from January 5. Hapag-Lloyd brands the service Europe Australia Express (EAX), while CMA CGM and its Australian subsidiary ANL call the service, North European Mediterranean Oceania (NEMO). The current port rotation is for the service that turns in 13 weeks is: London-Tilbury, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Le Havre, Fos, Genoa, Damietta, Reunion, Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Singapore, Port Kelang, Chennai, Colombo, Cochin, Damietta, Marsaxlokk, Salerno, Tilbury, reports Alphaliner. CMA CGM and ANL provide seven 5,700 TEU ships while Hapag-Lloyd contributes six 4,250-6,500 TEU vessels. Since December 2015, the vessels operating the service have been gradually upsized from ships of 4,250 TEU to containerships ranging in size from 5,700-6,500 TEU, with one 4,250-TEU ship remaining to be replaced.
