Midea has shipped 20,000 portable air conditioners to France in a week to address soaring demand from Europe's heatwave, according to South China Morning Post.
Chinese appliance maker Midea has shipped 20,000 portable air conditioners to France within seven days to meet surging demand caused by Europe's heatwave, reported Hong Kong's South China Morning Post.
The Foshan-based company stated that it doubled its daily output to 6,000 units by opening a new production line on July 7, completing manufacturing in just three and a half days.
Midea added that it prioritized the French order with additional manpower and production capacity, even as its factories were already operating at full capacity to meet domestic demand.
