China's Vice-Premier urges enhanced cooperation with Germany during discussions with Economy Minister Katherina Reiche in Beijing.
Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng has called on China and Germany to strengthen traditional cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration during talks with Germany's Economy and Energy Minister Katherina Reiche in Beijing, reports China Daily.
Mr. He, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with Ms. Reiche and German business representatives on May 27. Both sides exchanged views on deepening economic and trade ties.
Mr. He stated that China and Germany are major partners with a solid foundation and strong complementarity in trade. He urged both countries to promote the sustained and healthy development of bilateral relations through high-level cooperation.
Ms. Reiche described Germany as a reliable economic partner for China. She expressed that German businesses are confident in China's economic prospects and innovation capabilities and will continue to deepen cooperation.
