CEVA Logistics enhances transpacific air capacity with new charters from Vietnam and renewed service from China to Chicago, boosting trade efficiency.
CEVA Logistics has expanded its controlled air capacity across transpacific trade lanes with a new charter from Hanoi to Chicago and the renewal of its Wuxi-Chicago service, reports the American Journal of Transportation.
The Hanoi route operates three times weekly with a Boeing 777 freighter, offering same-day departure and arrival. It supports high-tech, industrial, retail, and e-commerce sectors, providing manufacturers in Vietnam's growing industrial clusters with reliable long-haul access to the US market.
Shipments are processed through CEVA's Chicago gateway near O'Hare Airport. The 700,000-square-foot facility includes 350,000 square feet of freight space, a Free Trade Zone, and cold storage. Screening capabilities such as ETD, x-ray, and K-9 inspection streamline customs clearance and trucking, reducing transit times.
CEVA also provides pickup and consolidation across Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City, supported by domestic teams handling multimodal flows, customs, and transshipment. Customers can opt for Sustainable Aviation Fuel and carbon reduction measures through CEVA's FORPLANET programme.
The Wuxi-Chicago charter returns for a second year, now operated with CMA CGM Air Cargo. Using B777 freighters, the service offers twice-weekly flights with up to 100 tons of capacity each. CEVA has expanded pickup coverage across China, enabling multi-origin consolidation into Wuxi.
