Cemre Shipyard launches NB1097 ESVAGT for Esvagt, marking its fourth turnkey project, designed for Hornsea 2, the largest offshore wind farm.
Cemre Shipyard launched the wind turbine support vessel NB1097 ESVAGT, which it has built for the Danish company Esvagt.
Following the wind turbine support vessel currently under construction for Esvagt, Cemre Shipyard has launched a second vessel with the same specifications, received as a new order.
Developed in collaboration with Esvagt by Norwegian HAV Design, the new SOV will be the fourth turnkey project that Cemre will build for Esvagt.
The vessel, constructed according to DNV classification rules, will fly the Danish flag. It will serve the Hornsea 2, the world's largest offshore wind farm located off the coast of Yorkshire in the North Sea, United Kingdom.
Like the world's first service operation vessel NB1094 Robert Boyle, NB1097 is equipped with an e-methanol propulsion system, enabling carbon-neutral operations and aiming to reduce approximately 4,500 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
This innovative vessel, measuring 93 meters in length and capable of accommodating 124 people, offers high efficiency, safe access, and top-level comfort standards in offshore wind operations with its advanced systems.
