In the morning of Aug 18, the Danish offshore vessel 'Blue Antares' was heading back to Fåborg after having delivered the 'Makassar Highway' in Gdańsk. After handing over the car carrier safely at the Gdańska Stocznia Remontowa yard on Aug 16 at 11.15 a.m., the tug was expected back in its homeport in the afternoon. She had also pulled the 'Makassar Highway' from the accident site at Västervik to Oskarshamn. The Swedish authorities have just completed the cleanup work for the oil that flowed into the sea and polluted the coast after the grounding on July 23.
