One of the esteemed figures of the Turkish maritime community, Captain Timur İldeniz, a graduate of the 73rd Deck Class (1973) of the Maritime Academy, has passed away.
The late İldeniz embarked on his maritime career following his graduation from the Maritime Academy and served as a pilot captain for many years with distinction. He made significant contributions to the development of the Turkish pilotage profession and its representation on the international stage by holding the presidency of the Turkish Pilots Association (TKKD) and the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of Deniz Pilotage Inc. He became the voice of Turkish pilotage within the International Maritime Pilots' Association (IMPA).
Captain Timur İldeniz, known for his gentility, gratitude, and the kindness he showed to his colleagues, has left behind an indelible respect and affection.
