CANADIAN Pacific Railway (CP) and Unifor have ratified a new four-year agreement for its mechanical employees, 13,000-strong CP family, customers and the broader economy, according to CP CEO Keith Creel, who hailed the development. Through collaboration, communication and trust, CP hopes to continue to achieve long-term agreements on both sides of the border.

Unifor represents 1,200 of CP's mechanical employees who are responsible for maintaining rail cars and locomotives. The current collective agreement was set to expire at the end of last year.

Canadian Pacific is a transcontinental railway in Canada and the United States with direct links to major ports on the west and east coasts, providing access to key markets worldwide. CP offers a suite of freight transportation, logistics and supply chain services.
