The 'Sarocha Naree' ran aground on June 1, 2018, at 4 p.m. while leaving Wilmington, North Carolina. It got stuck off Bald Head Island, Cape Fear River estuary. Two tugs were on scene at 8 p.m., and the ship was refloated with the rising tide on June 2 at 2 a.m. It was moored at Wilmington Anchorage southwest of Bald Head island.
