    Bulk carrier Sandnes refloated

    The Antigua and Barbuda-flagged bulk carrier Sandnes, owned by Sandnes Partenreederi, ran aground at the entrance to Esbjerg harbour during the weekend. The bulk carrier was stuck due to low tide. Around twelve hours later the vessel was refloated by the tugs Svitzer Helios and Bestla.

The bulk carrier was stuck due to low tide. Around twelve hours later the vessel was refloated by the tugs Svitzer Helios and Bestla. The Sandnes, 27,711 DWT, was delivered from Sietas Schiffswerft in Hamburg in 2004.
