Beşiktaş Shipping of Turkey boosts its fleet to 39 vessels with a $99 million investment, acquiring three new ships.

One of Turkey's most important shipping companies, Beşiktaş Shipping, has purchased three additional vessels. According to a report by Kerim Ülker from Patronlar Dünyası, Beşiktaş, which previously had a fleet of 36 ships, has now increased this number to 39. Notably, one of Beşiktaş's vessels was hit last month in Senegal, leading to the termination of transportation to Russia. Ülker's article stated that the total cost of the newly acquired ships is $33 million, bringing the company's total investment to $99 million.

    THEY CHANGED THEIR NAMES

The acquired vessels include a 49,999 DWT, 183-meter-long MR-type tanker built in 2016 in South Korea, previously named PTI Nile, which has been renamed Antalya; another 49,999 DWT, 183-meter-long MR-type tanker built in 2016 in South Korea, also previously named PTI Nile, which has been renamed Amasya; and a 49,997 DWT, 183-meter-long LVM Warrior built in 2015 in South Korea, which has been renamed Van.
