Aviator Airport Alliance secures a multi-year ground handling deal with China Southern Airlines at Helsinki Airport, enhancing Nordic operations.

Aviator Airport Alliance has signed a multi-year ground handling agreement with China Southern Airlines at Helsinki Airport, reports Toulouse's Aeromorning magazine.

The contract coincides with China Southern's inaugural service between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Helsinki on 29 March. Aviator is providing passenger handling, ramp services, baggage handling, and de-icing from the outset.

Founded in 1988, China Southern Airlines operates nearly 900 aircraft serving more than 200 destinations worldwide, with over 2,000 daily flights. The deal marks a significant partnership as the carrier expands into the Nordic region.

Minna Virmajoki, interim managing director of Aviator in Finland, stated that the company looks forward to supporting China Southern's presence in Helsinki and ensuring reliable ground services. She added that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Aviator operates at 15 airports across the Nordic region, serving carriers including Norwegian, Lufthansa Group, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Finnair, Air France-KLM, and Turkish Airlines. The company is part of Avia Solutions Group, the world's largest ACMI provider, with operations spanning six continents and more than 14,000 aviation professionals.
