Avianca Cargo introduces a weekly A330 freighter service from Bogota to Caracas, enhancing logistics and connectivity between Colombia and Venezuela.
Avianca Cargo has launched a weekly Airbus A330 freighter service between Bogota and Caracas, as reported by London's Air Cargo Week.
The operation began on March 7, featuring a capacity of up to 60 tonnes per flight. This service is complemented by Avianca's passenger operations, which add an additional seven tonnes of weekly cargo capacity on narrow-body aircraft.
Avianca Cargo stated that the new route strengthens logistics flows between Colombia and Venezuela while expanding freight transport alternatives in the region. The company plans to increase supply based on market demand.
Chief Executive Diogo Elias emphasized that the service consolidates Avianca Cargo's commitment to connectivity and trade development. He noted that the direct operation will provide more efficient and reliable logistics solutions for importers.
In conjunction with the cargo launch, Avianca announced the availability of sales for a second daily passenger frequency on the Bogota-Caracas route, further reinforcing binational connectivity and expanding travel options.
