SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe rose 5.7 per cent to US$977 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 3.4 per cent to $945 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined 3.5 per cent week-over-week to $1,264 per FEU while those to the east coast off three per cent to $2,229 per FEU.
