SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday rose 0.7 per cent to US$694 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade fell 0.3 per cent to $593 per TEU, IHS Media reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined 12 per cent week over week to $1,097 per FEU while those to the east coast slipped seven per cent to $1,681 per FEU.
