SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe dropped 4.5 per cent to US$933 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade slipped 2.6 per cent to $920 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
On the other hand Asia to the US west coast rose 11.8 per cent week over week to $1,413 per FEU while those to the east coast up 8.9 per cent to $2,428 per FEU.
