APM Terminals Poti handled 54,527 TEU in January 2026, marking a 15% increase from last year, driven by rising container trade in the region.
APM Terminals Poti handled 54,527 TEU in January 2026, a 15 per cent increase from 47,265 TEU a year earlier, reports Mumbai's Maritime Gateway.
The growth highlights rising containerised trade through Georgia's main Black Sea port, supported by its role on the Middle Corridor linking Europe with the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The terminal also processed 1,082 car containers during the month, underscoring its strong position in regional vehicle logistics.
The latest performance builds on a solid 2025, when APM Terminals Poti reported a 16 per cent rise in container throughput to 481,473 TEU over the first nine months, alongside double-digit growth in general cargo and ferry traffic.
The January figures suggest momentum is carrying into 2026, reinforcing Poti's status as a key hub for diversified cargo flows in the Black Sea.
