AERONAUTICAL Engineers Inc (AEI) has chosen Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited, also known as HAECO Xiamen, to serve as one of its authorised AEI Conversion Centres, reports London's Air Cargo News.
The company is expected to carry AEI conversions in the Asia Pacific area. A B737-800SF is listed to begin in January 2021, which will be followed by an added line in April 2021.
AEI has four other authorised AEI Conversion Centres that include Commercial Jet Inc, Commercial Jet Services, KF Aerospace and STAECO. Each of the conversion centres is located in Miami Florida, Dothan Alabama, Kelowna British Columbia and the Shandong province.
'We are delighted to add the high-quality modification services provided by HAECO Xiamen to our growing list of authorised AEI Conversion Centres,' said AEI vice president Robert T Convey.
'This year we are seeing explosive growth and requests for the full line up of our freighter conversion offerings. The additional two modification lines will now provide AEI with a total of 14 simultaneous lines, nine of which will be dedicated to the B737-800SF platform.' said Mr Convey.
