A-E rate up 20pc to US$247/TEU, drops 1.7pc to USWC, off 0.5pc to USEC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe increased 20 per cent to US$247 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), Reuters reported.
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI rise 27 per cent to US$248 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast declined 1.7 per cent to $748 per FEU as rates to the US east coast fell 0.5 per cent to $1,651 per FEU.
