28 of the 187 people aboard the "Mutiara Sentosa I" were still reported missing in the morning of May 20, after the vessel caught fire in the waters off the Masalembo Islands in Sumenep, East Java. While five fatalities have been confirmed, 154 persons were rescued. Four of the five passengers killed in the incident have been identified. The search for the 28 passengers who remained missing was still ongoing. The rescued passengers were checked at a community health center in Masalembo Islands on May 20.
