ISRAELI shipping line ZIM and Swiss shipping giant Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) have announced a new cooperation they say will offer 'a fast and reliable connection' between India and East Mediterranean ports. ZIM said the new cooperation is scheduled to begin in the second half of October.
The ZII - ZIM India Israel Service will have the rotation Nhava Sheva, Mundra and Haifa and will be westbound only.
The ZIE - ZIM India East Med Express will have the rotation Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Port Said West, Mersin, Piraeus, Istanbul, Mersin, Iskenderun and Mundra.
'This new alignment is a major enhancement for ZIM customers on the trade, benefiting from a wide range of direct calls and improved transit time,' the company said.
