On May 1st, YDO '92 graduates honored Atatürk at Anıtkabir, reaffirming their commitment to his legacy and the values of the Republic.
Graduates of the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Maritime Faculty (YDO) from the class of 1992 visited Anıtkabir on May 1st, in the context of Labor and Solidarity Day. On this meaningful day, which symbolizes labor and solidarity, the graduates gathered to pay their respects to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk by laying a wreath and observing a moment of silence.
During the visit, the YDO '92 alumni also left an emotionally charged message in the Anıtkabir Special Book, expressing their commitment to Atatürk and their determination to uphold the values of the Republic. The message emphasized that the bonds of brotherhood that began in 1992 have continued to strengthen over the years, while also expressing the will of Turkish sailors to carry the torch of the Republic into eternity.
The graduates also stated in the text that they would continue to proudly wave the Turkish flag on the world's seas, underscoring their commitment to Atatürk's legacy with the words, 'Your trust is our trust.'
