Water tanker grounded at Brottøy

The "Tonny", coming from Sortland, ran aground on Brottøy north of Raftsundet on Feb 4, 2017. The lifeboat "Sundt Flyer" and the tug "NSO Crusader" (IMO: 8224470) were called to assist and undertook several attempts to tow the ship off. Finally it dislodged with the rising tide around 1 p.m. It had suffered a huge hole in the bow and set the course for Harstad after the accident, followed by the "NSO Crusader".
