On Aug 7, 2018, around midday the port authority of Argosaronikos was informed about a mechanical damage and a leakage at a cooling pipe of the starboard side main engine. The ship was on its scheduled service from Piraeus to Aegina, Methana and Poros,. It had 386 passengers, 41 vehicles, 21 bikes, six trucks and one bus on board. 279 passengers, 35 vehicles, 17 bikes, the trucks and the bus were forwarded to their destinations with another ferry, the others cared for by the shipowner. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Piraeus Port Authority in the port of Argosaronikos. The ferry was prohibited from sailing until the damage was repaired and a classification certificate issued by the relevant classification society.
