On July 24, 2018, at midday the 'Liinsand' suffered water ingress in its port side hull in the port of Wyk upon Föhr. The ship started to list, and three tons oil-water mixture were threatened to leak. An oil boom was laid out, and the fire rescue removed the oil with a skimmer. The planned trip from Wykto Amrum at 4 p.m. was cancelled.
