US and Israel report striking 2,000 targets and sinking 17 Iranian ships amid escalating conflict with Iran's military response.
The United States and Israel, continuing their attacks on Iran, announced that they have initiated a new wave of assaults. The U.S. military also reported that approximately 2,000 targets have been struck to date, and 17 Iranian vessels have been sunk.
Explosions were heard in numerous cities, including the capital Tehran. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that approximately 2,000 targets have been hit in Iran so far, and 17 Iranian ships have been sunk.
The U.S. military claimed that Iran has responded with over 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2,000 drones.
The Tehran administration is also retaliating against the U.S. and Israel.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced that a U.S. destroyer refueling in the Indian Ocean was targeted with missiles.
The U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran began on February 28, while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and Washington.
Iran has also retaliated with strikes against targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the U.S.-Israeli attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many senior officials, was killed.
The Iranian Red Crescent reported that 787 people have lost their lives in the U.S.-Israeli attacks.
