The 'Federico García Lorca' docks in Vila after colliding with another ship it in Palma
Two passenger ships, including the fast ferry Baleària 'Federico García Lorca', which docked yesterday in Ibiza collided early in the morning in the spring of Pelaires Palmisano, when one of them was docked and the other was tied. The damage was minor and two boats were sailing soon after. The accident occurred about seven o'clock, when the ship 'Fortuny', the company Acciona, arrived at the Port of Palma from Barcelona. The ship began docking maneuver and when I was ending, apparently because of a mechanical error, he connected a march, which moved the ship unexpectedly. The 'Fortuny' then crashed against the bow of the 'Federico García Lorca' and both boats were damaged in low esteem. In the first boat traveled passengers who escaped unhurt, and the second had not yet shipped, so no one was injured. After the collision, the Civil Guard and port officials opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the accident and, above all, to determine the extent of the damage. If the damage had been important, the ships would have been frozen, but it did not and allowed both the Fortuny as 'Federico García Lorca' could continue their journeys planned.
