TURKEY's Arkas Line has re-started operations with its own containerships to West Africa from Europe with vessels from Germany's Hapag-Lloyd and French shipping giant CMA CGM.
It said the upgrade on two routes also features bigger ships and new vessel sharing agreements. Arkas has been on the loop with Hapag-Lloyd since December 2015, Trade Winds reports.
The Europe Africa Service (EAS) will see Arkas deploy one of five units, the 2,478-TEU Vivien A (built 2010) from September 4 with Hapag-Lloyd supplying the rest.
