The US Coast Guard responded to the 'Joyce Marie' which was to a partially submerged at the Port of Rosedale, Mississippi, on Aug 1, 2018. Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River watchstanders received a notification at 8:43 a.m. about the uninspected tug being submerged by the stern where it was moored at the Port of Rosedale. Approximately 500 gallons of fuel and lube oil were reported on board. An estimated 20 gallons of diesel entered the water. Enhanced Emergency and Environmental Response has deployed boom and secured the fuel vents to mitigate the spread.
