The 'Yarkiy', 132 gt, while towing the non-propelled tanker barge 'Baltika-3', , was blown aground by strong winds at the 713.5 km mark on the Volgo-Balt Canal near Krokhino on June 23, 2018, at 2 a.m. The tug got stuck on the left side of the fairway and was holed on the port side. A vessel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived on the scene and has reported that the crew of the tug were pumping out water.
