Trabzon Shipyard plans to enhance capacity with a new floating dock by year-end, enabling service for up to 10 ships at once.
Trabzon Shipyard aims to significantly increase its maintenance, repair, and construction capacity with a new floating dock investment planned to be commissioned by the end of the year. With the new investment coming online, the shipyard is expected to be able to serve up to 10 vessels simultaneously.
Company officials stated that the existing capacity will be greatly expanded thanks to the new dock, and it is anticipated that employment will also rise in parallel with the increasing workload. The shipyard, which currently provides job opportunities for hundreds of people, is expected to open its doors to more employees in the new era.
The floating dock, which is reported to be approximately 174 meters long, is said to enhance operational flexibility, particularly in maintenance and repair processes. This aims to enable a quicker response to demands coming from both domestic and international markets.
In addition to its capacity investment, Trabzon Shipyard continues its growth strategy through eco-friendly projects and new shipbuilding activities. It is noted that studies in areas such as renewable energy applications, water recovery systems, and hybrid marine vehicles hold significant importance in the company's future vision.
Aiming to become a strategic production and maintenance center in the Black Sea, the shipyard seeks to enhance its competitiveness in the international market with the new investment.
