Tour boat ran aground

The "Jessica" with 33 persons on board, among them 31 passengers, ran aground on the Peene in the midday hours of Sep 14, 2017. At 12.20 p.m. the DGzRS was alerted, and the lifeboat "Heinz Oorth" of the station Freest attended the casualty half an hour later. Also a rubber boat of the water police was on scene. The ship was boarded and the passengers were calmed down. Then the "Heinz Oorth" refloated the vessel. On scene were winds up to 49 km/h.
