The TORC tanker, owned by Beşiktaş Commercial Real Estate, is now registered under the Turkish flag, enhancing the nation's maritime sector.
The General Directorate of Maritime Affairs announced that the chemical/oil tanker named TORC, owned by Beşiktaş Commercial Real Estate Investment Inc., has been registered in the Turkish International Ship Registry and is now flying the Turkish flag.
With a deadweight tonnage of 13,214 DWT and a length of 144 meters, TORC officially began operating under the Turkish flag following its registration in the Turkish International Ship Registry.
In a statement made by the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs, it was emphasized that the ship's transition to the Turkish flag is a significant development for the Turkish maritime sector, and expressions of 'Congratulations' were included.
As TORC joins the Turkish International Ship Registry and continues its commercial activities under the Turkish flag, it is expected to contribute to the strengthening of the Turkish merchant fleet. It is noted that the recent increase in commercial vessels flying the Turkish flag is considered one of the steps taken to enhance the international competitiveness of the maritime sector.
