THE Tianjin Business Commission and the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute recently met to discuss cold chain logistics in Tianjin and agreed to strengthen their cooperation, reports Xinhua.
Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute Cai Qingyan paid a visit recently to Tianjin's KangNong Foods Co Ltd, Nordea Group and Master Kong instant noodles factory to witness first hand the logistics cooperation between Tianjin and Taiwan.
During the tour, the Tianjin Business Development Centre and a Taiwan cold chain company signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at helping enterprises with technical support to develop cold chain logistics facilities on the mainland.
In addition, several enterprises from both sides of the strait, such as Tianjin Northern International Group and Tianjin AOLV Agricultural Products Group, signed contracts to establish agricultural produce cold-chain logistics facilities.
Tianjin Business Commission officials said they aim to make their city to become a leader in the agricultural produce cold chain logistics and establish a chain of cold chain logistics enterprises to boost competitiveness.
