DEARSAN launched the second 50-meter guided missile boat for the Qatari Navy, marking a significant milestone in maritime defense collaboration.

The second of the two 50-meter guided missile fast attack crafts built for the Qatar Navy by DEARSAN Shipyard, owned by Aziz Yıldırım, was launched into the sea in a ceremony held recently.

The launch ceremony of the vessel AL GHARIYAH (Q52), constructed under the project signed between DEARSAN and the Qatar Navy, was held. The first of the fast attack crafts, AL WAKRAH (Q51), had its steel cutting on November 22, 2024, and was successfully launched into the water on November 17, 2025. With the second vessel's launch, another significant milestone has been achieved in the project.

According to a report by the Marine News Agency, the ceremony was attended by delegations from the Turkish and Qatari Navies, as well as DEARSAN's Chairman Aziz Yıldırım and Board Member and General Manager Murat Gordi.

After inspecting the first vessel AL WAKRAH (Q51), the delegation participated in the launch ceremony of AL GHARIYAH (Q52). Following the successful launch process, the next phase of the project, which involves outfitting activities, is planned to commence.

The fast attack crafts currently under construction as part of the contract signed on June 21, 2023, in Doha will have a full length of 50.76 meters, a width of 9.53 meters, and a draft of 2.10 meters. Designed to achieve a maximum speed of 36 knots and a range of 1,000 nautical miles, the platforms will be equipped with sensor and weapon systems suitable for modern combat needs, contributing to Qatar's regional maritime security capacity by effectively operating in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Arabian Sea.

Eren Ali Bingöl, the Mayor of Tuzla, who attended the ceremony, stated, 'Today, we participated in a meaningful ceremony that once again reinforces Tuzla's strong position in the maritime and defense industry. We are very pleased to support our district's investments and production capacity in the maritime sector by being present at the launch ceremony of the new fast attack craft held at Dearsan Shipyard, upon the invitation of the esteemed businessman Aziz Yıldırım.'
