The Ministry of Health reveals the 2026 Ship Health Tariff, based on net tonnage, applicable to all vessels using Turkish ports.
The General Directorate of Border and Coastal Health has announced the Official Ship Health Tariff to be implemented in 2026. These new tariffs, determined by the Ministry of Health, will be collected based on net tonnage under the Ship Health Official Law No. 2548.
According to the announced tariff, the full ship health official fee for vessels with a net tonnage of 50 and above has been set at 21.67 TL per net ton.
Discounted ship health fees will apply to vessels engaged in scientific research activities and marine tourism. Specifically, a fee of 7.59 TL per net ton will be charged for these vessels.
The annual ship health fee tariff for Turkish-flagged vessels has also been clarified. Accordingly:
- For vessels ranging from 50 to 250 net tons, a fee of 17.23 TL per net ton will be applied.
- For vessels over 250 net tons, a fee of 38.90 TL per net ton will be applied.
Officials have reminded that the ship health fee is redefined at the beginning of each fiscal year and is collected during port entry and exit procedures in accordance with the relevant legislation.
It has been reported that the 2026 tariff will be valid for all domestic and foreign-flagged vessels using Turkish ports starting in the new year.
