    On July 1, 2018, at 9.30 p.m. the 'Ecotanker III’, 2865 dwt (EU-No.: 02335378), allided with the railway bridge in Venlo. Train traffic over the bridge was stopped as a precaution until an investigation showed theat the bridge suffered only slight damage. The tanker which was loaded with diesel and sailing in southbound direction from Rotterdam to Roermond on the Maas berthed at the Belfeld lock after the accident.
