The "Global Uranus" ran aground off Bitung on Feb 5, 2017. The chemical tanker was carrying a cargo loaded in China and was bound for Indonesia. The vessel required professional assistance from salvors and a salvage plan was being formulated. The ship arrived at Bitung on Feb 16.
