The 'Stone 1' encountered mechanical problem with a threat of possible power loss during loading operations from a floating oil pipe reducer at the East coast of Kolguyev island in the Barents Sea on July 6, 2018. The tug 'Atriya' was sent to assist. While establishing a towing connection the wire snapped and fouled the tug’s propeller and rudder. By July 8 the tug was under way again, and the tanker also was operative again.
