The 'Zarifa Aliyeva', en route from Birkenhead to Gibraltar, went adrift 23 miles and 300 degrees from Bardsey Island Lighthouse, in position 52 54 52.2 N, 005 16 46.2 W on July 6, 2018, at 6.30 p.m. The vessel was able to manoeuvre in emergency and was safely drifting in the Irish Sea. A sensor was replaced and the fault has been rectified. The vessel was now under way again with an ETA as of July 11.
