The 'Quingua' caused an oil spill in the waters off Pinamalayan in Oriental Mindoro, Philippines, on Aug 23, 2018. Oil containment boom and absorbent pads were immediately installed to stop the oil spill from spreading. The vessel?s hull may have been breached, due to strong waves. Clean-up operations were ongoing.
