A storm in Yalova leads to the safe evacuation of six crew members from a passenger ship under repair, with no injuries reported.

In the Shipyard Area of Altınova district in Yalova, the crew of a passenger ship undergoing maintenance and repair was evacuated due to the ongoing storm through a coordinated operation.

Altınova Municipality fire brigade teams immediately initiated an operation to rescue the personnel trapped on the ship. As a result of the successful intervention, six crew members were safely evacuated. It was reported that the health condition of the personnel is good and no adverse incidents occurred.

The incident caused a brief panic among the workers at the shipyard, while authorities issued warnings regarding potential storms and weather conditions. Officials emphasized that safety measures should be increased according to weather conditions during the maintenance and repair of ships.

It was noted that the frequent storms and wave effects experienced in the Altınova Shipyard Area complicate ship maintenance, and therefore, the safety of personnel must always be prioritized.
