APL is to deploy the vessel, the APL Boston, on its transpacific SAX loop following the delivery in April of APL New York, the fourth vessel APL Phoenix will join SAX by end July.
The vessels can do 23 knots, though its electronically-controlled super long stroke slow speed engine can efficiently slow steam as well.
