    The ITU Maritime Faculty Alumni Foundation has equipped the ITU Rowing Team to foster the development of young sailors in sports and education.

    Significant Support from the Maritime Sector to the ITU Rowing Team

    The ITU Maritime Faculty Alumni Social Assistance Foundation (DEFAV) has provided significant equipment support to the ITU Rowing Team to contribute to the educational and athletic development of young sailors.

    As part of the support realized with the contributions of ITU Maritime Faculty alumni and the maritime sector, new boats and sports equipment have been acquired for the ITU Rowing Team.

    With the donations made by PascoGas, Pacmar Shipping, and ITU Maritime Faculty graduate Zehra Yiğit, the team received a Dragon Boat, a Four-Person Scull, a Two-Person Scull, along with various sports equipment.

    In a statement made by DEFAV, it was emphasized that it is important for young sailors to gain not only academic education but also team spirit, discipline, endurance, and competitive skills through sports.

    While it was noted that the foundation continues its efforts to support the educational and social development of young sailors, it was expressed that the donations made would significantly contribute to the activities of the ITU Rowing Team.

    DEFAV thanked PascoGas, Pacmar Shipping, and Zehra Yiğit for their support, highlighting the importance of such contributions to the future of young people in the maritime community.

    It was stated that supporting ITU Maritime Faculty students with sports activities contributes to the development of physical endurance, leadership, and teamwork skills of future sailors.
