    JIANGSU's China Shipping Industry (CICJS), has called in classification society Germanischer Lloyd (GL) to assess its training at the block-building stage of a 10,000-TEU ships.

    JIANGSU's China Shipping Industry (CICJS), the shipbuilding arm of China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) has called in classification society Germanischer Lloyd (GL) to assess its training at the block-building stage of a 10,000-TEU ships.

    Three hundred administrative staff and technicians from production, technology department, quality control and other departments as well as construction teams participated in the training sessions.

    To meet the requirements of a 10,000-TEU vessel and ensure the project proceeds smoothly, CICJS has formulated a practical and feasible human resource training plan, thus contributing to advancement of know-how within the enterprise while exchanging knowledge between enterprises.

    More than 700 people have accepted training in welding, high voltage electrical engineering and side hanging basket techniques. CICJS organised personnel from Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding and Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and exchanged knowledge on production procedures of 10,000 TEUers.

    With the shipbuilding in progress, CICJS will further carry out related training at different stages of construction to guarantee high-quality construction.
