Turkey's ship, yacht, and services exports hit $166.9M in January 2026, doubling from last year, with the UK as the top destination.
According to data compiled from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the ship, yacht, and services sector reached its highest annual export level in history in 2025, increasing by 17.4% to $2 billion 243 million 952 thousand. The sector has also made a strong start to 2026.
In January of this year, the export of ships, yachts, and services rose to $166.9 million, marking a 102.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Thus, the sector's exports doubled in January compared to the same month of the previous year.
Last month, the sector's share in total exports was calculated at 0.9%. When examining the January export figures of ships, yachts, and services from previous years, it was noted that the sector's exports were recorded as follows: $82.4 million in January of last year, $174.3 million in January 2024, $20.5 million in January 2023, $70.8 million in January 2022, $42.7 million in January 2021, and $108.8 million in January 2020.
The highest exports were made to the United Kingdom.
Last month, the highest exports in ships, yachts, and services were made to the United Kingdom, amounting to $66.5 million, followed by Norway with $43.1 million, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with $33.4 million, Panama with $10.3 million, and France with $3.2 million.
The United Kingdom also ranked first in terms of export increase in value.
During this period, the export of ships, yachts, and services to this country increased by $66.4 million.
Following the United Kingdom in export increase were the UAE with $33.3 million, Panama with $10.3 million, and France with $2.8 million.
Panama and Morocco stood out in the increase in value.
While there were no exports from the sector to Panama and Morocco in January of last year, it was determined that exports of $10.3 million to Panama and approximately $2 million to Morocco were realized in January of this year.
The highest exports were from Yalova.
When looking at the data by province, the highest exports in ships, yachts, and services during the mentioned period were made from Yalova, totaling $86.4 million.
During the same period, exports from Istanbul amounted to $71.6 million, from Muğla to $4.1 million, from İzmir to $2.9 million, and from Eskişehir to $548 thousand in ships, yachts, and services.
