A 350-meter drilling platform is transiting the Bosphorus, temporarily halting two-way traffic as it is towed from Italy to Romania.

A drilling platform dock with a total length of 350 meters is passing through the Istanbul Strait. During the passage of the drilling platform, the Istanbul Strait was temporarily closed to two-way traffic.

The drilling platform dock, which is being towed by the Liberia-flagged offshore tug 'PACIFIC DUCHESS' from Italy to Romania, entered the Istanbul Strait around 06:30.

During the strait passage, tugboats from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety (KEGM) accompanied the vessel. The Istanbul Strait was temporarily closed to two-way traffic during the passage of the drilling platform.
