    The cargo ship Forester, stranded off Büyükçekmece, has been rescued after a mechanical failure during its journey from Izmir to Russia.

    The cargo ship named Forester, which experienced a malfunction off the coast of Büyükçekmece during its voyage from İzmir to Russia, has been rescued.

    In a statement from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, it was reported that 'the 88-meter-long cargo ship named Forester, which encountered a mechanical failure while sailing from İzmir to Russia, was towed and assisted by our Salvage-11 tugboat under the coordination of our Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services Center and with the accompaniment of our pilot captain, and safely anchored at the Ambarlı Anchorage Area.'
