THE Port of Shanghai, the world's biggest box port, increased monthly throughput 8.3 per cent year on year in June to 3.4 million TEU, according to the Shanghai International Port (Group) Co (SIPG).
But month-to-month volumes were down four per cent from 3.54 million TEU in May this year. From January to June 2017, Shanghai posted a 9.6 per cent year-on-year increase to 19.6 million TEU.
