Shandong Port Group and Hisense Group have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Qingdao, marking a significant step towards deepening collaboration between the two organisations. The signing ceremony was attended by Gao Liping, Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Port Group, and Jia Shaoqian, Chairman of Hisense Group.

The partnership is built on principles of complementary strengths, mutual benefit, and shared development. It focuses on two key areas: coordinated supply chain development and the digital transformation of port operations. These initiatives aim to boost the high-quality growth of both entities while fostering innovation in logistics and technology.

At the roundtable discussion preceding the signing, Gao Liping highlighted the critical role of ports as indicators of the national economy. Amid fluctuating global trade conditions and a complex external environment, Shandong Port Group is transforming from a traditional port operator into a comprehensive supply chain service provider. This includes expanding into international markets and offering integrated, end-to-end services to enterprises. Gao also emphasized the Group's focus on intelligent digital transformation as a national pilot base for AI applications, providing innovative platforms for real-world technological advancements.

Recognising Hisense's strengths in digital technology development and intelligent supply chain solutions, Gao described the company as a trusted partner. He noted the alignment in their industries and the strong foundation for collaboration already in place. Looking ahead, Gao expressed confidence in jointly advancing smart port development, supply chain integration, and creating a benchmark model for manufacturing and logistics convergence.

Jia Shaoqian of Hisense underscored the importance of technology in driving innovation across industries. As global trade dynamics evolve, Hisense is accelerating its international expansion and requires efficient supply chain support. Jia highlighted the potential of aligning Hisense's manufacturing footprint with Shandong Port's international logistics network to improve efficiency and enable true end-to-end coordination. Beyond supply chain collaboration, Jia pointed to opportunities in emerging sectors such as smart energy, intelligent transportation, and smart buildings. By integrating industrial resources and exploring new areas of cooperation, the partnership aims to enhance competitiveness in global markets and achieve mutual growth.

This strengthened collaboration between Shandong Port Group and Hisense Group represents a shared vision for innovation, efficiency, and sustainable development, setting a benchmark for the integration of logistics and manufacturing.
